1. General Information
These terms and conditions govern all ultrasound services provided by Kent Medical Ultrasound. By booking an appointment, you agree to adhere to these terms as outlined.
2. Booking and Cancellations
3. Payment
Payments must be made prior to the scan via debit card or covered by private insurance. Please provide insurance details at the time of booking.
4. Service Provision
Ultrasound services are conducted by certified monographers. We do not have access to your full medical records, therefore, consult with your General Practitioner or Consultant for detailed medical advice post-scan.
5. Results and Reporting
Results are discussed immediately post-examination; some cases may require further analysis. A comprehensive report will be sent to your referring doctor if requested. Self-referring patients will receive a direct copy.
6. Pregnancy Scans
For pregnancy scans, you acknowledge that the report provided is a preliminary diagnostic overview, which may differ in gestational age from NHS scans. It is crucial to use all antenatal services provided by the NHS. Our scans are not anomaly scans and are not meant to be the sole diagnostic assessment of your pregnancy. They do not detect all abnormalities.
7. Limitations of Service
Ultrasound may be limited by factors such as high BMI, insufficient bladder fullness, or excessive bowel gas which can affect diagnostic clarity.
8. Use of Media
Recording the ultrasound session on mobile phones is permitted strictly for personal use. Sharing content on social media is prohibited.
